History of the symposium
In 2014, the Applied Molecular and Cellular Biology Program held the “1st International Workshop on Cellular and Molecular Biology”. In this opportunity we plan to bring national and international researchers and students to participate in the event. The Program’s proposal was for the event to take place in a biannual format, but with the brazilian contingencies starting in 2015 it was not possible to reissue the event. In 2019, we plan the “2nd International Workshop on Cellular and Molecular Biology” seeking to consolidate the doctorate and strengthen projects through existing partnerships, such as the Portuguese Catholic University (UCP), INSERM, and the “Chinese Academy of Sciences “, among others, and foreseeing the possibility of creating more among teachers. In addition, it is important that students of the graduate programs can present their publications . The event is not closed only to the Program, we can count on the participation of other Brazilian and international institutions.
Importance of the symposium
The event’s relevance lies in the participation of the national and international academic and scientific communities to discuss relevant scientific themes developed by the program’s researchers, as well as the applications of knowledge generated in the areas of health, environment with a focus on innovation. With this, it is intended to strengthen existing partnerships with researchers and national and international institutions, as well as to create new partnerships. This collaboration and improvement of technologies developed by Brazilian and foreign researchers will attract students from the various undergraduate and graduate courses in the biological and health areas, as well as from other areas such as engineering that have transversality in the proposed areas of the event.
